I just read that even though we don't give cattle by-products to cattle... mostly.... sometimes some cow by products DO show up in the feed. I buy the buffalo stuff when it's available at Fred Myer (good stuff) and try to get out to the health food store often. Have to be careful with fish, cause of mercury, which is another possible source of autism. And I will probably get my son tested for mercury poisoning soon. If we try to chelate his body, it wouldn't do to pack more mercury in. Think I'll go out and buy a book I used to have, but lost. It's called "5 Acres and Independence". It's all about how you can be self sufficient with only 5 acres. We've got 5 acres, but with 4 fjord horses, I think we'll only be semi-independent cause they love that pasture! <yes, we're careful with founder issues> Pamela
