Well, so much for eating beef in Europe.

The Vermont sheep were to be dissolved in lye, if I remember right.  Does
that work?  I gather incineration doesn't either.

As to F&M...I've wondered why they do not vaccinate in a circle around the
infected areas...and permanently mark those animals.  Let them live out
their lives, but require them to stay on their original premises and be
disposed of properly.  Seems that might stop the spread without the long
term loss of the status.  It sounds like they are contemplating something
like this...particularly to try to preserve the rare breeds.

Has anyone confirmed the "live in the nostrils" theory via the CDC website
or...?
