Here is my two cents worth:

In reply to what Karen and Jean have been discussing, I am VERY willing to
pay for any and all training that is put onto a horse. I have no desire to
buy an uncivilized horse (no matter what breed) and I am willing to pay more
for that training......

Karen says:
" I think that as soon as the buyer looks
at enough horses out there, they too will come to the conclusion that "you
get what ya pay for". Boy Karen, you could say that again!!!!!!

"Another thing is this: a responsible brreder/seller WILL take into account
the ability level of the interested buyer, and will discuss realisticlly
with the buyer the suitability of horse to human and vice versa" If my
previous seller had done that then I wouldn't have gone through a year of
h#LL with the QH I had...but then of course I wouldn't have gotten Gustav at
the end of it, so in the long run it was worth it. :-)

and in regards to this comment:
"So what is it about Fjords? Is it their size (generally speaking) or
simply
because they're so darned friendly and cute?" I have found that
people consider 'ponies' as a equine that doesn't need to be trained...as if
they come that way naturally. Why people think that way, I have NO IDEA!!!!
