* 2002 FOAL - (Gjest x Holly -Solar) - Sire and dam imported. - Foal due
May 1st. This foal will be the full sibling of BDF Liv, BDF John Arthur,
BDF Magnum, BDF Naomi - Everyone of them a very good performance horse.
* 2002 FOAL - (Gjest x Stine -Ene) Sire & dam imported. - Foal due May
5th, and will be full sibling to such outstanding Fjords as - BDF Kanada
King, BDF Obelisk, BDF Malcolm Locke, BDF Liza, BDF Philippine - Everyone
of them athletes with great work ethics.
* 2002 FOAL - (Gjest x Maryke - Hjerter-Knaehgt) Sire & dam imported - Foal
due June 15th, and will be full brother/sister to the very famous, BDF Miss
Naveta. Also, BDF Idar, BDF Lillehammer, BDF Jubilee Canada. Each of
these horses are consistent winners in competition.

Note: If I've neglected to mention somebody's prized horse, please don't be
mad at me. Chalk it up to age and a cluttered mind due to too many things
to do this time of year. .

* HOLLY II - Yearling filly, sired by imported German stallion who is a son
of Ohlsen -- And, out of imported German mare. - This is one of the most
adorable, correct, great-moving, well-bred fillies you could hope to
ind. --- She's truly gorgeous! --- She's German-bred with all those good
dressage horses in her background like REI HALSNAES. - She's very well
grown, and has been exceptionally well handled. Note: Holly's movement is
sublime! -
* OORUK - Yearling gelding - Half brother to Holly II. Great
conformation, leggy & a lovely mover! This youngster has Ohlsen as a
paternal grandsire, and Kvest Halsnaes (sire of many German chamion Fjords)
as grandsire on dam's side. Ooruk has a SUPERB TEMPERAMENT! Super nice to
handle.

This next group will arrive at BDF in two days. They've been carefully
chosen for overall quality and athletic ability, ie - MOVEMENT!!! -
However, they have not been trained, but we've got the trainers to do that
job in the next few months. --- If you're interested in a quality horse,
please talk to us. And don't worry about the training issue. We won't sell
a horse before he's ready unless the buyer insists on doing the job
himself. --- We have on staff a marvelous driving trainer who knows Fjords
inside and out, and trains them the best. --- We also have on staff some
great young dressage riders. These horses will be safe, reliable, and easy
to handle and ride/drive by the time they leave here.

ANNELISE - 18 yr. old mare imported by BDF many years ago. Sired by
Myrstein (Elite stallion), out of Uloza (Keur mare). -- Annelise has done
everything - Had many foals * Drives single and pair * Ridden dressage
training * Excellent trail horse * Therapeutic Ride/Drive horse. A
beautiful mare of good riding type.
LOKI - 3 yr. old son of Annelise. As yet untrained. He'll be put into our
riding and driving training program on arrival. - This gelding has very
good movement.
ZEUS - Yearling son of Annelise.

BDF QUASAR 3 yr. old Gjest son out of Holly - Solar daughter. -- One of
the nicest, most pleasant, most talented Fjords we've ever had. A TRUE SON
OF GJEST! Quasar is everyone's favorite because he has ability, and because
he's mannerly and pleasant. * - He's built strong, and he has WONDERFUL
WITHERS. * Quasar shows almost unbelievable ability for such a young horse.
* He has real SELF-CARRIAGE. * He has real SUSPENSION & REGULARITY in his
gaits.
----------- Quasar has been very carefully brought on and is now in driving
training. -- He also does some terrific work in long-lines. - A great
horse in all ways -- temperament, conformation, athletic ability.
BDF QUENTIN DURWARD 3 yr. old son of Gjest out of Maryke - Hjerter-Knaeght.
Quentin is tall, big-bodied with a gorgeous head. He's super cute! He's
also had a great start and now is in driving training going really well.
This is an attractive gelding who'll make an excellent, winning dressage and
driving horse. He's a full brother to - BDF Idar (competing against
Warmbloods in Musical Freestyle), BDF Miss Naveta (who has won just about
everything in Pleasure Driving in the midwest), BDF Lillehammer (dressage
winner in VA), BDF Jubilee Canada (dressage champion at Woodstock) -
Quentin is very well mannered, and has a extremely friendly temperament.
TUNDRA - A 4 yr. old imported mare sired by Elite stallion, Dragset (now
deceased). One heck of a wonderful mare. Tundra is short and stout with
superb conformation. Our trainer says - "What a wonderful horse for a
family to do everything with". - Great great character and temperament.
Absolutely not a problem in the world. Good mover! Not fancy, but REALLY
GOOD. In driving training doing well. Will be backed soon.
TAMARA - 4 yr. old imported mare sired by the famous Ohlsen-Junior. TAMARA
IS A FANCY FJORD!!! Absolutely for sure, she is! Tamara can move with the
best of any breed. As our Stable Manager says, "She's one terrific little
package". She's not big, but she's a mighty good horse! Wonderful for a
small woman rider or a child competitor. -- Would you like to show the
world that Fjords can "do it"???? - This is the Fjord. TAMARA IS
TERRIFIC! - In driving training doing well, and will be backed soon.
TIALDA - 4 yr. old imported mare sired by Ohlsen-Junior. A very big, very
strong, very athletic mare . . . And according to our trainer - - "She's a
wonderful worker!!!" A gorgeous mare! She has everything anybody could
want - SIZE, TEMPERAMENT, MOVEMENT, BEAUTY, BREEDING ---- She's in driving
training, doing well, and will be backed soon.
TYRZA - 4 yr. old imported mare sired by Ohlsen-Junior. - My husband,
Arthur, says . . . . "The tall, dark, and handsome one" . . . . . EXQUISITE
is the word for Tyrza. - Exciting breeding on both sides of her pedigree.
Very tall! UNBELIEVABLE MOVEMENT!

All of these quality, well-bred mares can be bred to Gjest before leaving
for their new homes, if desired by new owners. -- All these mares are
performance horses, and the temptation is strong not to breed them.
However, the subject bears thinking about as Gjest is now 26 years old, and
is acknowledged as the "best moving, most athletic Fjordhorse in
istory". -- The opportunity to breed these great-moving mares to such a
stallion is certainly of interest to those who care about the breed.

*** The good weather has not yet arrived in Nova Scotia, but nevertheless,
things are happening at Beaver Dam farm. Training is going on despite the
icy winds blowing off the bay. The horses haven't completely shed out yet,
but it's coming slowly.
We're very busy getting ready for the Nova Scotia Beginner Driving
Vacations. That means conditioning and training driving and riding horses,
as well as all the other "clean-up chores" around the farm. ---
Many of our Vacation guests come (unbeknownst to us) with the idea of buying
horses. So . . . . if any of you have an interest in any of these horses,
it would be a good idea to speak up now, or they most likely won't be
available later.
We'll be making unedited videos of all the horses, and these are available
to interested parties. And, as soon as the horses shed out, we'll take
photos and post them on our website Sale Horses page. Please call to
discuss any of the horses that interest you, and to tell us what kind of
horse would ideally fit your family situation.
Beaver Dam Farm has a well-earned reputation for quality horses, and also
for an ability to match the right horse to the new owner. Check around and

There are no unusual problems buying horses in Canada. Your horse will need
only a Coggins test, and an International Health Certificate.
We have a very good horse transporter who makes trips to the States about
once a month. His rates are very reasonable.
