Mark, you apparently live in Helena and have a nice herd, 7 registered Fjords. Whether you trail ride, show in open shows, drive CDE, or show at Blue Earth, we would love to have you and many, many more Fjord owners join PNFPG. It is only $20 which can be mailed to me, Sylvia Riddle, Secretary of PNFPG, 13616 E. Mt. Spokane Dr, Mead, WA 99021. We bought Fjords and joined PNFPG 4 years ago and are thrilled by the growth of our organization. It has doubled in size but more importantly PNFPG has multiplied the numbers of activities among the members. Here is who to thank for that growth. Brian and Ursula Jensen, founding members of PNFPG, continue to show, teach and train Fjords. Brian is on the board of FHI and is an Evaluator. Ursula (and Kathy Rollins) have editored a newsletter that is fantastic. Brian and Ursula put on 2 high quality CDE clinics last summer to get our Washington, Idaho, and Montana members started in the sport of CDE. Donna Burgess and China Larabe compete successfully in CDE's with their fine Fjords and were clinicians at 3 CDE clinics this summer. They were also clinicians at our Spring Fling and did a musical presentation at Libby. Donna was also show secretary (a huge task). Anne Appleby competes in dressage and was a clinician at our PNFPG Spring Fling. Gayle Ware competes, trains and was a clinician at our Spring Fling. Anne and Gayle did a musical choreographed presentation with their horses at Libby. Shirley Anderson, who chaired our Libby Show for several years. Sherrie Dayton, who edited our newsletter for years and chaired the Libby Show and the Libby Evaluation in 2006. Catherine Lassesen and Gayle Ware, and the Oregon Fjord Club, do a major Fjord presentation each year at the Albany Oregon, All Breed Expo. This group also wins first when the come to the Libby parade. Thanks to these folks our numbers of Oregon PNFPG members is larger than the Montana and Idaho numbers. Don and Heather Torgenrud and the Riddles, opened their ranches for CDE clinics last summer. Dan and Solveig Watanabe, joined the Riddles to present at our Spokane All Breed show last spring and opened their ranch for events last summer. Kathi Thompson, who is one of 6 certified in the Dennis Reis program (did it on a Fjord) and will be a clinician at our 2007 Spring Fling in Moses Lake. And last but one of our greatest , Taffy Mercer, who headed up our first Spring Fling in Moses Lake last May and is well underway to make it bigger and better in 2007. We have other members showing in open shows, participating in historic rides, etc. etc. and thanks to over 100 members, PNFPG will be doing far more of everything (not just one show a year) in 2007 and beyond.
