Well, maybe this really isn't so off-topic if you look forward to
resetting your clock in the Spring so you have a little more time to
play with your horses. Daylight Saving Time (DST) is being extended
this year by approximately three weeks. This extension is part of
the Energy Policy Act of 2005, and effects the United States and
Canada. DST will start at 2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March,
and will end at 2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November.

The one glitch in this is that since Windows 95, most of us have
gotten used to having our computers take care of this change
automatically. Well, unless you're planning on updating to Vista
before March 11, you're out of luck. Microsoft and Apple have both
issued patches to take care of the change on newer versions of their
operating systems (Windows XP (SP2)+, and OS X 10.4+). You can
download and run these if you want (or find some teenage nerd to do
it for you). If you are running anything older, you will probably
need to find that same teenage nerd to hack your registry if you're
running Windows. I don't know what you do if you have an older Mac
  OS.

If you don't want to mess with your operating system, I suppose you
could reset the system time by hand when you reset all your other
clocks and watches (or get that teenage nerd to do it for you).
However, probably you will also need to reset it again on April 1
when your unpatched operating system resets to what it thinks is
proper DST. And then of course you'll have to go through the same
  double correction in the Fall.

Or you can just ignore the whole thing and have your computer have
the wrong time during four weeks of the year. However if you do any
online banking or set important appointments using any software
packages this might be a risky option.

Ain't it wonderful how much simpler our lives have become in the age
  of computers? ;-)
