This morning, shortly after Catherine left on a trip to WA, her mare Flip gave birth to a fine healthy filly by Blaamann. After a week of beautiful sunny weather, it clouded up last night and started what will be another whole week of rain. So of course it was the perfect time for Flip to decide to foal! To top it all off, I'm convinced the stinker knew that Catherine was leaving... Mares!! But Mom & daughter are doing well, and I'll oversee them until Catherine gets back. Catherine was notified by cell phone of the happy event and her response was something to the effect of "I knew she'd do that." Amy (holding down the never-a-dull-moment fort)
