DeeAnna, With Outlook and Outlook Express (I know nothing about Thunderbird...sorry) after you hit reply, click your mouse cursor where you with to start editing/deleting. Then while holding down the LEFT mouse button, drag it across all the text that you do NOT want to send. Hit delete....poof it is gone. You can highlight parts of the original message in segments, and delete portions one at a time. Note in the edited text below. I have removed most of the header information, leaving only "On Behalf Of [email protected]" to identify to whom, and to what subject I am replying to. I left the subject: "Trimming Posts". Then left only enough of your message to indicate that the prior suggestion did not work on those programs. You can then place your reply above or below the remaining text. This way you will see exactly what you would send BEFORE you hit the send key. If satisfied, hit send... Hope this helps... Fred All Mail is scanned in AND out by Norton Anti-virus. This method does not appear to work for these email programs. --DeeAnna Important FjordHorse List Links: Subscription Management: http://tinyurl.com/5msa7e FH-L Archives: http://tinyurl.com/rcepw Classified Ads: http://tinyurl.com/5b5g2f
