This message is from: "Teressa" <[email protected]> I bought a Schleese Wave last year to replace my wintec pro. It fits both of my fjord mares and my big gelding and is very comfortable. Most important, it puts my leg in a much better position than the wintec did. Schleese only sells direct (it is a Canadian firm) but they can be found used quite readily. Schleese also has used or demo saddles on consignment - mine was a demo. If you contact Schleese directly, they will ask for measurements and can recommend which model they think will work best for you. They also have saddle fitters that travel throughout north America so that the saddle can be refit for you and your horse - as your horse gets more muscled from moving up the levels, the saddle can be refit to stay comfy for him.
I have heard a Grand Prix dressage rider say she had been disappointed in the Schleese's durability. But I haven't found an issue - of course, I don't put the hours in mine that she probably does. Me and my two mares are heading to Happ's this weekend for their first CDE. I'm not going to drive - I'd probably attempt a single - but the pair is way too much going on for my feeble mind...But the girls are fit as fiddles, finally all shed out, shined up and trimmed, and ready to rumble. Wish us luck.
