This is the THIRD white dun colt this combination has produced in the last three years.? Blitzen was responsible for the gender and Madellin was responsible for the color.
This year has been a colorful year for us.? Blitzen produced a red dun colt and filly with two brown dun mares.? While on the subject of Blitzen, we are off next weekend to the Virginia Draft Horse and Mule Association's Old Dominion Show.? Blitzen is competing in riding, driving and draft classes, but the driving classes are the most exciting for me.? Our neighor, Noel, who is a paraplegic has been driving Fjords for the last?9 months.? He drove two of our mares at the Virginia Fjord Evaluation in both the intro and advanced driving tests and earned 3 blues and 1 high red ribbon on their performance.? Then he won cones at the Virginia Fjord Fjestival.? I am predicting that Noel is going to take the cones at the Old Dominion Show with Blitzen.?? I watched them practice?today at the farm and?it was amazing.???
