I’d watched a video, bathing a horse with a gray tail, which was actually
white with some strands of gray. And of course the “yellow” common in the
white of tails, ugh.
They’d mentioned regular antibacterial hand soap, sounds good to me, then
rinse, spray with oxi magic, which has alcohol and peroxide (clorox product),
but could not find this at two local grocers, including Walmart. They did it
twice, letting the spray oxi magic sitting on for a few minutes. (they wore
gloves to protect their hands). After two treatments, they rubbed in a bit of
an olive oil leave in conditioner, was in a jar and was like a cream. They
said it was for horses. I’ve looked and can’t find it and had my husband
look at the shops, and didn’t find one for human hair.
The horses tail looked great afterwards. I have two with white in their
tails, the one fjord and one mini.

Anyone know where to get these products. Of course both of these are mares.
I try to keep tail bags on but the fjords tail is so thick, the weight of the
tail bag, seems she just can’t keep that bag up and high enough. The mini
does a better job.

If using these items, how often to wash their tails, once a week?
thanks.

p.s. sure has been quiet on the list?
