flac.exe is choking on some aiff files as input with the following: "ERROR: SSND chunk size inconsistent with sample frame count"
According to Daren on the dBpoweramp forum "The flac.exe program ignores the amount of data bytes quoted in the SSND chunk and tries to read to the end of the file, which would be fine if the SSND data was the last data in the file. The problem is that there is an ID3 chunk at the end of the file which flac.exe doesn't recognise. It therefore thinks that the audio data is too long." If this is true can flac be modified to accept these aiff files? If not what would be the drawback, if any, of changing flac to just warn instead of quitting when encountering this error? aiff files used for testing can be found at http://bugs.slimdevices.com/attachment.cgi?id=4653&action=edit and http://bugs.slimdevices.com/attachment.cgi?id=4722&action=edit _______________________________________________ Flac-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.xiph.org/mailman/listinfo/flac-dev
