No. It's not considered an error to skip non-audio sub-chunks.
Thank you, Josh. Then I wonder why shntool conv sometimes reports that flac gave it a bad exit code and I should not rely on the file it wrote (although the file is always good). Maybe it's something with shntool rather than with flac then.
