sorry for the spam but this is really wierd :- if i check the typeof _root.menu[thisKind].description_txt with: trace (typeof _root.menu[thisKind].description_txt);
before i start the loadVars i get "string" as a response but if i paste the exact same trace within the onLoad() function i get "undefined".
what does this mean? can i not reference even absolute paths within an onLoad function?
