No, this is only useful for Picture files, and waiting for them to
download, I am using this as an actual preloader for site, I have a 100
frame anuimation of lines extending to form rectangles, and I want the
movieclip to play in time with the percentageLoaded - this is a variable
I have set to get the percentage that is loaded. All I want is for the
movieclip to play according to the percentage loaded :) and then fade in
for teh content! Thanks for your help though, I'm new to flash and the
moviecliploader class will help me out later!

Take a look at the MovieClipLoader class in the help docs. Or,
consider using a loader component which is based on MovieClipLoader.
Both of these have techniques for getting a percentage of the load
process and reporting it to you. You may need to restructure your
movie to be separate from the loader though.
