Much of AS1 isn't deprecated, but that's just how I think of it. Sorry if it seemed like I was declaring AS1 deprecated because it isn't (officially). The point I wanted to make was that it makes me nervous to use AS1 stuff for practical reasons, one being the *likelihood* AS1 contains much syntax that will be deprecated.
