I've been able to subclass a MovieClip and use the onRelease in combination with setting hitArea="myHitAreaClip"; myHitAreaClip._visible=false; My simple solution would be to use an invisible button-But although I have subclassed a button before and made it work- this time my subclassed button with no graphics except on the hitArea keyframe is not responding to clicks or even causing a change in the appearance of the mouse onRollOver. Is there a way to make this work or am I stuck with either code on the button or using my messy MovieClip approach?
