I think you might be looking for the *mx.services.WebService class
instead of the WebServiceConnector class.

import mx.services.WebService;
import mx.services.PendingCall;
// set up connection
var wsConn:WebService = new
WebService('http://webservices.amazon.com/AWSECommerceService/AWSECommerceService.wsdl');
wsConn.onLoad = function(wsdlDocument) {
trace('WebService Loaded Successfully.');
};
wsConn.onFault = ErrorFunc; // not defined in this example
// call ws method (you don't have to wait for the service to load first,
this will queue automatically)
var wePendingCall:PendingCall = wsConn.CallMethod('Vars Passed In'); //
the actaul call
wsPendingCall.onResult = function (result) {
trace(result); // the actual result
}
wsPendingCall.onFault = ErrorFunc;

PS My apologies for the double post, it's my first time, and I missed
changing the subject line..
