The nice thing about using Flex for e-learning is you can easily
separate functionality from presentation  - navigation from interaction.
Flex can maintain the application state and present content on demand,
while the content can still be highly interactive (.swfs) but doesn't
break the framework of the navigation and overall layout.  Of course,
you can still do this with Flash, but you're mixing all of these into
the same environment.  One small downside to Flex, is it can be trickier
to make very specific modifications the look and feel - but that can be
done too.
