Excellent answer. I was lax on specifying packages for my classes. Once I did that, I used an import statement for the data class and I was good to go. Thanks so much.

import CommLogging.ContextMessageTransferData;
var theDataObj:ContextMessageTransferData = LoggingLibrary_mc.LogClass.createContextMessageTransferData();
