No but .... compiling a page each time it is requested feels somewhat awkward (even though I know how html renders ;) ) I feel that the cross platform compatibility feature (iPhone <-> Flash Player) is a dense fog, plus it certainly has a lot of drawbacks (complex things done in Flash won't be interpreted by the engine, so you're tied to FTML, a kind of MXML but ... wrong'er' or if you don't comply then you won't be compatible iOS/Android wise resulting in nothing new).
And sites as shown in the samples ( samples + website sample) are better rendered directly in HTML. Plus, by doing pure html, you can get farther than what this seems to render. Same goes for flash anyway ... Still, I don't have a clue about that FTML, all the above is pure speculation. The idea/concept is a good one though, but I think Flex already tried it (and the idea to make Flash compatible with HTML is a no go: any reasonable person would opt for HTML, making it compatible with every browser out there, why would one put Flash in there ?)
