I generally find it's better to post to a public list first - especially with something that is likely to be of interest to other developers. I saw JD posting here, so I know he reads this list, if no-one else.
If I don't get any response I'll post to the wishform, of course, but in that case I don't expect to ever hear anything back about it - that's just Macromedia policy.
