I've done a presentation layer for Movable Type that hits an AMFPHP service class. Email me offlist if you want the class. I'm not sure if it works with the latest Movable Type though. It's really easy to work with using Flash remoting, methods like getEntries, getCommentsForEntry, getCategories, etc.
