You still do need the Viewpoint plugin.

Don't get me wrong. It's another plugin that is required sure, but it's
pretty lightweight and not too intrusive on the user/operating system.

As far as the complexity of the viewpoint platform I would say that it's
suited our needs but I wouldn't go as far as to say you can write a full
blown game in it. It has a couple miles to go until that is a reality.

Director could have been a choice I suppose for this but unfortunately
we simply didn't explore this option enough with our executive team. I
would have liked to possible visit this as an option.

As far as merging flash with Viewpoint I pulled it off using a DIV layer
where the Flash stays below and the viewpoint is on top. Viewpoints
documentation isn't that great actually when you go beyond what it's
really capable of. We had to use the forums extensively to get the
information we needed and even working with Viewpoint developers
directly on issues/bugs that we found.

Anyways, if anybody wants to know more let me know.

If you use Viewpoint, don't you need to install that player on top of
the Flash player???
