Thanks Grant, I think that many developers installed flash 8 early on, before the remoting files for version 8 were released and so copied the files manually in the way that you describe.
I will try to copy the files in the way you describe - there seems to be a lot of duplicate files on my system, but I will work it out. -- Gavin Lilley.
