For all the 3d naysayers, perhaps you were the same guys that said a few years back that there was no place for video on the internet, no place for applications on the internet. Perhaps there's no place for telephony on the internet and I'm just imagining skype and the coming wave of messenging/phone combinations. And of course before that there were things such as radio, tv, shopping that were largely done offline. All niche markets initially.
I personally don't think we should limit our online creativity in an increasingly bandwidth rich arena by dismissing the possibility of new tools to explore new areas.
