Before you sign off, let me try and answer your remaining questions.
You can import hig-res .jpg files into Flash and they will remain
high-res depending on your publish settings as far as I know.  Case in
point, see this and select the "doubleResImage.swf" in the load image
box - then zoom in and out:

And yes, Print Job is the way to print in Flash now.  You could for sake
of simplicity open a new HTML window that contains the image, but not as
smooth and certainly more limiting.  It could have a print page button
on it though if you wanted.  Nice thing about putting your jpg into a
movie clip and printing that is you can do all kinds of nifty dynamic
things which you can't easily do in the HTML world.  For example, on one
Flash project, I made a fancy certificate that the user prints out at
the end of an exam they take if they pass - the certificate has their
name and their score on it.
