Would using SQLite or Berkley DB work on the server for development and then just copy the database.db file to your cd? I have not ever connected flash to either of these without php/jsp in the center and I don't know if it is possible.
I have thought about this problem for a long time and have resorted to a file structure for "tables" and xml files for instances of components. I am excited to test INM.
