This seems to work if Internet Explorer is my standard browser (although
an extra tag is needed to solve some security issues when opening a site
like this).
If I set Firefox as Standard Browser, strange things happen. When
Firefox browser is not open, the _root.getURL(...) opens Firefox, but
not de worddocument. Instead it opens a site out of the blue. When I
click again on the butten to open the worddocument, firefox asks me if I
want to open worddocument.doc. So if firefox is open, it works,
otherwise not).
I haven't even dared trying with Opera.
Can anybody tell me if there is a thread somewhere with information on
this.
Openening the doc like :
_root.getURL("file://F:/projects/camarche/docs/worddocument.doc") works
fine, but how do I get to know from my swf the path of the swf??? Since
I'm not using Zinc or Director, it's hard to find out where the swf is
located (of not???).
