If you are concerned about performance differences between virtual and non-virtual functions than AS2 is propably the wrong language for you ;)
I can´t think of other downsides except that you would be able to override a function at compile-time by mistake without making the compiler shouting at you... Anyone know if this has any negative implications? :) Cheers, - A _______________________________________________ Flashcoders@chattyfig.figleaf.com To change your subscription options or search the archive: http://chattyfig.figleaf.com/mailman/listinfo/flashcoders Brought to you by Fig Leaf Software Premier Authorized Adobe Consulting and Training http://www.figleaf.com http://training.figleaf.com _______________________________________________ Flashcoders@chattyfig.figleaf.com To change your subscription options or search the archive: http://chattyfig.figleaf.com/mailman/listinfo/flashcoders Brought to you by Fig Leaf Software Premier Authorized Adobe Consulting and Training http://www.figleaf.com http://training.figleaf.com
