I've been trying to find this out, but for the life of me can't find the answer to this question anywhere and could use your help...

When you use a Stylesheet object for formatting an htmlText-field, you can only redefine the
,
,
, and tags, whether it be with AS or using an external stylesheet. If you attempt to redefine the or tags the formatting will be ignored. (as per http://livedocs.macromedia.com/flash/8/main/00001453.html)

Anyone know why this is?

I'm writing a tutorial on dynamic font formatting in Flash, and I'd like to give a little better explanation for not being able to redefine or tags in a stylesheet than "*just because*".

Thanks in advance,

Joseph
