Hi, I am wanting to use Flash to deliver tutorials by subscription. I will need to allow temporary access and subsriber access.
Which collection of technologies do I need to know about to handle the to and fro between SWF and database? Do I use a Flash generated XML sent via XML socket to a URL/ASP file (or URL/PHP) present in the server CGI directory, which then sends SQL request to a database and then the ASP/PHP receives an XML result which it posts back to Flash? Are these ideas correct? Is some other system better? Where does Flash remoting fit in?
