Bottom line, videos do not play backwards well. Nothing wrong with your code or computer, and nothing you can do about it.
If you absolutely need your video to play backwards and forwards, you create a backwards version of your movie, have it running invisibly and concurrently with the forwards one, and when you want to go backwards, you swap visibility. If there is audio on the video, make sure you mute the invisible one.
