Hi Suhas, I did some research on this topic few days back and found that:
Flash alone (Without using "Flash Media Server") can have very limited capabilities for audio recording. It can just record the audio from user's microphone and playback the recorded audio. The recorded audio can't be saved on the user's PC or on the server. With the help of Flash Media Server we can save the recorded audio on the server.
