Hi I have just been asked about the possibility of making an app which will play MP3s, and display visual effect to match it. Does this sound like something that is possible in AS3?
As I see it the issues are: - being able to load and play an MP3 from the users harddrive - converting the MP3 to PCM format - analysing the PCM for volume / tempo (and possibly frequency) I will be researching this fully myself now, but if anyone has any experiences or thoughts they want to share I'd be grateful.
