I've done it by using a 1px line across the letters >> converting line to fill >> break apart everything.
Then it's all one shape and you can change the fill. It's probably not the best way to do it but it worked for my situation. -Andy -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mendelsohn, Michael Sent: Wednesday, November 15, 2006 8:52 AM To: Flashcoders mailing list Subject: [Flashcoders] Gradients (not a coding question) Hi list... Is there a Flash equivalent to Illustrator's Make Compound Object feature? I have some Illustrator text that I converted to paths, and brought in to Flash. I'd like one radial gradient to span over all the letters. I know I can do this with a mask, but is there simpler way, thus avoiding a mask? - Michael M. _______________________________________________ [email protected] To change your subscription options or search the archive: http://chattyfig.figleaf.com/mailman/listinfo/flashcoders Brought to you by Fig Leaf Software Premier Authorized Adobe Consulting and Training http://www.figleaf.com http://training.figleaf.com _______________________________________________ [email protected] To change your subscription options or search the archive: http://chattyfig.figleaf.com/mailman/listinfo/flashcoders Brought to you by Fig Leaf Software Premier Authorized Adobe Consulting and Training http://www.figleaf.com http://training.figleaf.com
