Hi Greg, I read your solution with interest because I spent a lot of time looking into this a while back. It seems if I am not mistaken that the article by Lisa is only relevant for video being streamed from a Flash Communication Server, as opposed to a progressive stream from a regular server (the 'len' argument seems to only apply to FCS streams?).
If this is the case, it's an important point to consider. I may be wrong, but that is what I could gather from a quick read. J. PS. Thanks for you comments on Fotoko! -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of greg h Sent: 28 November 2006 00:03 To: Flashcoders mailing list Subject: Re: [Flashcoders] Image as intro to FLV Not to detract in any way from Jason's excellent solution. I very much appreciate his sharing. And I love the fotoko.com UI. Very nicely done :-) Just as an fyi ... a solution is also provided in a January 2005 Devnet article by Lisa Larson under the heading "Generating Dynamic Thumbnails": Creating a Dynamic Playlist for Streaming Flash Video http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/video_player_05.html ...
