I tried it very briefly, and will possibly give it another go just for the heck of it, and to waste time.

My initial feeling is that if you like Microsoft's other IDE - Visual Studio, you will like Expression, since even Blend is just a thin skin over top of the standard Visual Studio interface. Unless I have something configured incorrectly, you also have to install Visual Studio Express to edit the scripts.

I think those apps will appeal mostly to Microsoft developer types, but probably not to too many others.
