A little clarification I think is needed on that:

1) That's technically Xfactorstudio's Xpath classes, not simply "Xpath"
- Xpath is a W3C standard *language* for grabbing parts of an XML
document , which xfactorstudios did their own partial implementation of
in the form of actionscript classes. I know you said it correct in your
blog, so I'm not speaking to you directly Scott :) , I just wanted to
clarify for the list. People on this list often use the term "Xpath"
interchangably with Xfactorstudio's Xpath classes, which is incorrect.
2) Xfactorstudio's Xpath classes are huge and do not perform well on
large projects/large data sets. For most things, I love those classes,
they are great, but use caution and test often.
3) Great job posting a tutorial - there isn't much out there at all,
and many of us can't move on to AS 3.0 just yet. :)
