Hi list... This should be a simple question about runtime sharing, but I've never done it before, so I'd like to be sure.
Say I make 2 files: source.fla and dest.fla, where source contains the assets I'd like to bring into dest (the fla actually being viewed). In source, I have a bitmap within a MC, and in source's library, I check export for runtime sharing for both the bitmap and MC. Then in the dest, I open the external library (source) and drag the MC into dest's library. The bitmap automatically comes over with it. Both indicate Import: in the library. The question I have is that when I save and compact the dest.fla, it increases in file size to reflect importing the MC and the bitmap. Shouldn't it NOT increase in size because it's got assets linked from another file? Am I doing runtime sharing correctly?
