Thanks Alain Yes Zinc looks promising and has the necessary function. Just need to get some info on the actual application I want to call and if it can accept parameters.

Or if you want to avoid Zinc, use fscommand to call a bat file that has all the parameters inside it. Usually you can just open de needed file with the bat file, and the System will find the proper app to open it if it's defined in the Registry. You need to check what kind of parameters the application supports . If the application does support a parameter like "-o filename", then you can write a bat file and use fscommand to call it.
