Actually, you can!

Um - unless I'm missing something - the code you link to is just
rotating the image to be printed to make it landscape (if the printer
settings aren't already set to landscape). You can't actually set the
printer settings to landscape programmatically, you have to rotate the
clip in question.

Which is, I think, what I said.
