Thanks for all your help. i put the wineback_btn in the first frame and set the _visible to false and that works.

I would move this to the Flashnewbies list, but your problem is in the wine_mc there is no wineback_btn in the first frame, thus Flash can't find it to assign the onPress. In fact, I don't see wineback_btn anywhere in wine_mc - only in the library.
