an update to this is that: if I recompile the haxe code, I can then lauch
the SWHX app 1 time.  after that, I can't relaunch until I recompile with
haxe

someone else, who compiled on their machine, and it SWHX ran fine locally.
Then, I recompiled the app with Haxe and now it dies when I try to launch a
second copy.  If I close the first running copy, I can't seem to start a new
one for sometime.
