Figured out..

I needed to do the following:

MasterClass (init)
myClass extends MasterClass ( super.init() );
myExtendedClass extends MasterClass ( super.init() );

It works, but I wonder why the class gets instantiated twice in my original
example :(

        I'm extending a class and for some odd reason it gets instantiated
twice. I'm linking the class directly to a movieclip, so here it is my
setup.

        Movieclip < AS 2.0 Class = myExtendedClass

        Classes:

        myClass extends MovieClip;
        myExtendedClass extends MyClass

        Inside myClass

        trace (this)

        When the script is tested I get this in the output;

        [object Object]
        _level0.instance1

        Any Ideas, pointers..?

        TIA.
