Try the onData event handler of the XML object. Needs some extra magic I think though.

Hi there, I am sure I remember coming across a way of reading an XML file before it is fully loaded though I can't find it. What I would like to do is load all the information from an XML file but only if an attribute in the first node has changed (this is like an ID that the Flash app can use to decide whether or not to load all of the XML unless it is a new version). Has anyone else heard of this of or is this wishful thinking? Thanks :) Ali _______________________________________________ Flashcoders@chattyfig.figleaf.com To change your subscription options or search the archive: http://chattyfig.figleaf.com/mailman/listinfo/flashcoders Brought to you by Fig Leaf Software Premier Authorized Adobe Consulting and Training http://www.figleaf.com http://training.figleaf.com This e-mail and any attachment is for authorised use by the intended recipient(s) only.
