Hi John,
I use Smartboards and Promethean boards and haven't had that issue
with Flash - both seem to behave themselves (and the behave the same
way).

Cheers,
  Ian

Not all whiteboards behave the same. Using C++ (same in Flash ?) I had an
issue with Smartboard that wasn't there with Promethian boards. With
Smartboards (finger operated), when the finger is lifted contact is lost and
the mouse stays where it last was x0,y0. When the finger was placed
elsewhere I had to make sure I read the mouse x,y position first, otherwise
it looked like a mouse click occured at x0,y0 rather than x,y. With
Promethian (pen operated), the mouse x,y is updated as the pen approaches
the board and the click of contact comes later, and so the correct item was
selected.
