Well, that is AS3 indeed (have the book beside me) The topic is about "closures", and that sort of constructor only works inside a method in an existing class, or in a frame in a timeline (it says so in the book in the same page, the full code is omitted for the sake of brevity, so just finish reading before trying the code ;)
