A few days ago I made a post with the subject "unexpected result with linked classes in embedded swf". The lesson I learned from this is that an object is only imported into a movie player once, regardless of how many swfs it occurs in.

Well, I'm dealing with a situation where I forgot to back up my source code following the most recent official release of a product. I made about a month of changes as we were adding a bunch of features before I realized this.

Anyway, we haven't had an official release in a while, but we've found a rather critical problem that is affecting a customer.

I just need to add one line to one object to make the problem go away.

So, is there a way to insert the corrected object into the last official release of the compiled swf?
