That's exactly what the "bezier" and "bezierThrough" features in TweenMax (or TweenLite) do. http://www.tweenmax.com. There's an interactive example in the Plugin Explorer (just click the "EXAMPLE" button next to bezier or bezierThrough). It writes sample code for you too.
